Gabriel Steinberg is the co-founder and Head of Product at Safe Pro AI and co-founder and VP of the Demining Research Community. Since 2018, he has been a leading innovator in applying artificial intelligence and remote sensing technologies to the detection of explosive threats and hazardous objects in complex environments.
In 2021, he co-founded the Demining Research Community to bridge the gap between academia and industry in the development of advanced visual and geophysical detection methodologies. In 2023, he co-founded Safe Pro AI, a Safe Pro Group company, to bring AI-powered aerial image analysis capabilities to humanitarian and defense operations. Since then, his research and technical contributions—developed alongside the Demining Research Community—have received more than 100 citations across remote sensing, computer vision, and explosive ordnance detection publications, and have been presented at conferences worldwide.
Based in New York City, Gabriel remains focused on advancing scalable AI and remote sensing technologies for real-world threat detection and operational decision-making.
